About

I am an artist from upstate New York and hold a bachelors in Visual Arts and Psychology from Union College. During my time at Union, I took many classes in different mediums of art, but I found that 3D computer modeling was something I took a particular interest in.

During my senior year at Union, I took my first class in 3D computer modelling, and fell in love with the process of modeling different objects and scenes in the software. At the time, I was particularly interested in creating scenes that represented the psychological pain and discomfort that was caused during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Using my knowledge gained from psychology classes, I worked to create a series of 3D modeled scenes that contained liquid and particle simulations to evoke a surreal feeling of dread and unease.

Even since I was young, I had always had an interest in art and what could be done with it. I always found ways to take as many art classes as I could, and II eventually became particularly interested in how art and psychology can intertwine. I was particularly fascinated by some contemporary artists like Alex Da Corte and how his videos and installations created environments that had a much more cerebral atmosphere when viewed than say a painting or sculpture.

One of the reasons I feel so strongly drawn to 3D modeling, is that I have found a great interest in video games, particularly how they are able to tell stories. I find that games are able to tell stories in such a unique way, as they are able to create rich and changing environments that can further emphasize the story within the game.
